Hi everyone!
One of our locations recently started having problems with their thermal Epson L90 printer, specifically when the label prints, it prints blurry. The manager of the location cleaned the printer, ensured the paper roll was set up correctly, and called Toast customer care, however, they were not able to narrow down what the issue was. Has anyone experienced this issue, or have any troubleshooting suggestions?
The attached sample picture is for the guest receipt; however, the item labels print blurry also.

Looks like a dirty print head to, is that what was cleaned? I would start there if it hasn't been done already.

Hello!
Thanks for the response! From my knowledge, yes, the manager cleaned the thermal head, however I will be stopping by the location this week to further assist the manager and I'll clean the thermal head again. Hoping that does the trick! 🙂

Ok,check the roller for debris as well.

Also check the size of paper rolls you are using. We find 170' works good the 250' rolls were blurry at the beginning but not after a day of printing. The motor may not be strong enough to pull the roll until it got closer to 170'.
