Exclude Modifiers from Discounts?

I could have sworn modifiers were excluded from Discounts, but I just did a test and it's still being included.

• I created a discount of 10% off a specific item.
• There is a promo code set.
• Then I went to the item's modifiers and selected the "cannot be discounted" options for each modifier.

However when I test it, the modifiers for that item are being discounted as well.

Can someone confirm this is how it works and I'm not doing missing something? Thanks in advance!

So far Toast still does not the ability to exclude mods to be discounted. I have been waiting for years to see a change on this. Hope 2026 will be it. *fingers crossed

Thanks for confirming! I guess I was thinking of our old POS, which had finer tuned discounts but had issues of it's own.
