I run a restaurant where we have servers and I'm having an issue confirming the cash activity at the end of the week. I am not sure if it's an issue with how the servers are closing out their shift, with how they use the register, or a mix of both.
We use the server drawer only for change, and each shift the cash activity for the server in "cash in" is matching up on the sales summary, but I can't make sense of the total cash for the entire day.
Ideally I am looking for someone that has a similar operation as we do and can give me some guidance on how they confirm cash total cash activity against what the servers are bringing in.
