Gift Card

Is there a way to enter physical gift cards without doing a purchase of the gift card?  we want to do giveaways of gift cards but do not see a way to enter a gift card with no income.

I have my comps/discounts set up with a donation button. So if I do a gift card giveaway I can just comp the gift card and close it at out $0 balance
