We've recently started having issue with our handhelds randomly dropping their WIFI connection during service. I haven't been able to isolate it down to a specific one. Toast ran diagnostics on out router and said things looked fine on their end. We have to go into settings, turn wifi off and then back on to get it back up. Doing it from the drop down menu doesn't seem to work. Curious if anyone else is having this issue? Could it be from an update? We went 2 years with never having this issue and now it occurs every weekend.

Following this thread. I've been having the same issue for the last 6 months. It makes the handhelds pretty much useless.

by and chance could there be multiple networks connected? That has happened to us in the past. We have also had issues with the ISP before.

The problem has settled down for us. It could have been a multiple of factors because there has been multiple software updates since then and we replaced a bunch of our more beat up handhelds. That said I think the main fix was that we had a dead zone in our kitchen. When the servers would walk though the handhelds would jump back on the secured network and not switch over to the Toast network. I went into settings while connected to the Toast network and told each handheld to forget the secured network. Seems to help them reconnect to the correct network when they pass through the dead zone. If there are other networks in the are I would make sure you tell the handhelds to forget any they may have connected to before.

I had an issue with a handheld not being able to hold the wifi signal - I called support and screenshared that handheld with them. They were able to work some settings magic and resolve the problem.
