Hi all,
In the Front of House section, "Order Screen Setup" there is an option, "Send Order After Check is Paid"
We would love to enable this for takeout and delivery only. Anyone know if that is an option. When we select this button, it doesn't send Dine In table orders until they are paid for, which obviously won't work. Occasionally we have an issue with takeout or delivery where the customer cancels after a long discussion, but the kitchen has already been working for five minutes on the order. Can anyone advise me on whether there's a separate button for takeout and delivery only? I spent too much time on the phone with support and no luck.

No that is the only way it works, I believe it is because phone orders don't typically pay until pickup so that would be an issue. I can't think of any workarounds that wouldn't require extra steps or changing the behavior of your dining options (which could potentially create issues) One option would be using the hold button and waiting until you are sure the order is completed and sending it after, but that's another step and adds the risk of forgetting to send. Probably better to just get in the habit of waiting until hanging up the phone before sending if possible.
