Now that pennies will stop being produced soon. Does Toast have a rounding plan in place? Banks are already warning of shortages.

Hey everyone, just wanted to make a larger post about this and offer some insight. I apologize that this took so long to have updates around. The beta is live and available now.
I will continue to offer updates as I learn more about when it will go live. Thank you for your patience as we continue to develop and improve these systems! I have also attached some documentation around how this new system is intended to work for your review.

We’ll keep you updated as we progress through the pilot and toward full release!

Thanks for the update, Rob. I know that you're probably as in the dark as we are, so I appreciate the sleuthing and advocating for us! Any ongoing updates will be appreciated, for sure. I look forward to seeing what Toast comes up with.

Thank you for actively working on this solution. As a restaurant owner, we would also be very interested in being allowed to round to the nearest quarter or even Dollar. It seems like that would be the same type of solution. Allowing restaurants to choose what rounding point they would like would allow them to eliminate some or all of their change they handle. Which is very exciting to many of us!

Hi Rob,
How does one sign up to be considered for the pilot?
