Now that pennies will stop being produced soon. Does Toast have a rounding plan in place? Banks are already warning of shortages.

Hey everyone, just wanted to make a larger post about this and offer some insight. I apologize that this took so long to have updates around. The beta is live and available now.
I will continue to offer updates as I learn more about when it will go live. Thank you for your patience as we continue to develop and improve these systems! I have also attached some documentation around how this new system is intended to work for your review.

Thank you!! Odd that they didn't let the people in here that were most vocal about needing this to some sort of notification for Beta rollout...
I am frustrated with Toast.... It seems that Toast just wants more and more and more, and isn't too serious about taking care of existing customers.

I would need to agree to this. What is the point of communicating if we are not going to get any response or follow up. We have been communicating at multiple levels about this, I know we are just a smaller coffee shop but we have been with Toast for a long time.... its frustrating.

We are manually applying rounding as a work around..... That is sloppy! How did Toast not see this coming and implement an actual solution?
While you are creating extra work for us and our employees, I have noticed that my Toast bill has gone UP, so that's cool!

The phasing out of Pennies was announced in February 2025. It has been nearly a year. What's the deal guys? You give us a ham-handed workaround and then go dark?
Is there something about rounding to a nickel that is really that difficult to do that we as non-developers do not understand? If that's the case then say so..... Please just explain yourselves.
