Now that pennies will stop being produced soon. Does Toast have a rounding plan in place? Banks are already warning of shortages.

Hey everyone, just wanted to make a larger post about this and offer some insight. I apologize that this took so long to have updates around. The beta is live and available now.
I will continue to offer updates as I learn more about when it will go live. Thank you for your patience as we continue to develop and improve these systems! I have also attached some documentation around how this new system is intended to work for your review.
Cash rounding Beta
Cash rounding
Cash rounding in the orders API
*note - Cash rounding is in limited release and is only available for Toast POS locations in the United States.*

Thanks for reaching out! The accepted solution posted is still the most up-to-date way to handle this Penny issue, based on our documentation. I will see if I can gather any further updates!

Hey there Rob. Can you mention to the developers or management, whomever can make a difference in this, that they need to truly make this a priority?
I do not feel that sporadic posts with staff-based/legally questionable workarounds and broken promises is adequate to quell the frustration I feel. Although I cannot speak for everyone else in this thread, or those who have found it and not posted, I imagine they feel much the same way.
How it feel to me is:
Toast will continue to prioritizing the development of apps/features that will increase revenue without ever really going back to fix issues with the existing ones that people are already paying for.
XTraChef comes to mind....
Please, Toast, Make the case for why we should keep you, considering that there are far less expensive options whose features are catching up.....
The best way to make that case is TO LISTEN TO YOUR USERS, and fix the problems with your software.
MS Excel was capable of rounding with its very first release in 1985. You are not plowing new earth here...
