When I run a report at 3AM for a business day, for example business day 7/31. When i re-run it on a different day, for example 8/1, the reports are not consistent. Despite the last check being closed at 11:00PM on 7/31.
What would be causing this?

Toast Reporting Closes Day at 4am (technically they poll somewhere between 4:18 and 5) local time. However there are some newer reports which end at midnight (punches). Also End of month reporting will not be accurate for a few days (settlements, future checks, monthly credit card fee adjustments). You can look at the sales report and see what days are available and polled correctly .
TL/DR 3am on 8/1 is still 7/31 until about 5am

Can you elaborate on which report you are running and seeing inconsistencies?

I have this same issue and you can get different figures depending on which view of the report you choose.

Can you explain which reports you have compared and the inconsistencies you are noticing? I'd like to investigate these reports further.
