Here's an issue that Toast Customer Care is having trouble with, so I wanted to see if anyone else is using Toast gift cards. We were successfully issuing cards and scanning them for payment using the barcode scanner and the QR codes on the cards. This setup means the cashier doesn't have to handle the card to take payment, just scan the back of the card. This is important, just like it is with credit cards. Well, that stopped working, for some reason the cards don't parse properly for payment. Customer Care is telling me that it shouldn't work and I have to use the camera. Not an option in a busy cafe! This is quick service, as quickly as you can. The camera on Toast POS with a guest facing display is a nightmare. We've been using Toast gift cards for 4 years now, and it was one of the key selling points of Toast. I'm just reaching out to see if anyone else is encountering this issue or even uses Toast gift cards and rewards together in a quick service environment.
