Suggested Tip Including Discounts

Hello All - 

We just noticed the suggested tip on the tablet is including any check discount amounts.

Example:

When someone needs a item removed from their check for a discount or they didn't like the item, when that customer goes to pay and the tablet suggests tip percentages, those percentages include the food total of removed items from the check.  Anyone know how to fix this?

Split the items off to a separate check and then discount them if you don't want them factored into the tip. Leave the items on the check and discount if you want them factored into the tip (say a manager gets a round of drinks for a table that his friends are at).
