Tax Exempt without a Number

Hello, 

We operate in Texas, which does not require a number to be issued on tax exempt certificates. However, Toast requires a number when ringing up an order as tax exempt.

How can we bypass the number requirement?

We just put 1234 and continue. We have been doing this for 3 years now with no issues.

Same, it seems any number satisfies the system, I think it is meant as more of a reference tool. However, I am not an accountant or an attorney and wouldn't want to give legal/accounting advice. We have done it like this for eight years.
