Hello! We recently have been considering adapting thermal label printer for our establishment (we still label items the old-fashion way, by writing). Before jumping into it, we'd like to learn from the awesome peers in this community about your insight on thermal label printers. I have done some digging in Toast Central and still have couple questions that require clarification. My questions are as the followings:
1. Does thermal label printer actually help with your operation?
2. What are the pros and cons in your opinion?
3. Differences between Toast TLP400 and Epson L90? Is it only the label size that is different?
4. Can the Toast printer and Thermal Label Printer coexist at prep station?
5. Can labels be printed only on demand? (I have read an article that says it can be done. If someone can clarify on this)
6. Is information of an item printed on labels exactly the same as it would appear on paper ticket?
Your insight, tips and practices are greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance.
