Can someone tell me how to generate a simple time series of items sold (with modifier details) for a custom date range. The instructions for the Product Mix report indicate that this can be done, but the report I get keeps giving me totals for the date range. I need daily quantities.
Example: How many bacon quiche have I sold each day YTD?
I have spent two hours on chat with multiple representatives and have gotten nowhere.

You should be able to do it with the new product mix report https://www.toasttab.com/customers/shop/test-kitchen/product-mix-reporting you can request access if you don't have it yet.
You can put in a date range then filter by day of week, it will not show you the exact number on each day but you can figure out an average from the total though.

I think that is referring to xtrachef reporting and the product mix report there. The xtrachef product mix report will breakdown by date (if you use xtrachef) but I still think the date range is limited to around a month.

The instructions indicate clearly that a daily time series is available, but I am unable to get this out. Averages are not of value to me as there are daily fluctuations in quantities sold that need to be managed. Are the instructions incorrect or is there a way to get quantities sold for each day in a range? This data is stored in the system; it seems like it should be available without having to generate a separate report for each day. I am interested in daily volatility over the last couple of years to identify patterns and variances in sales.

Can you share the instructions you are referring to?
