Tipping batbacks

I am in the process if opening a new restaurant/bar.   We have been in the business for awhile but this will be the first full service location.   Can anyone give me advice on how bartenders should be tipping out barbacks?  I have asked many people and have received many different answers.

Assuming the bartenders pool tips and figure out an hourly rate.  1/2 rate per hour for barbacks.  Bartender $30 per hour in tips barback gets $15 per hour.
