We have an ongoing issue with the total price of an item on Toast Local receipts for which the price of the modifiers is added to the base price of an item twice. Our receipts are set up to not show the price of each modifier, so the modifiers are added to the base and only a total price is shown for the item. Toast Local is the only order source that we have this issue with.
The customer is charged correctly, thankfully, and the sales reporting is correct, so there are no issues there, it's just that the pricing on the receipt and the totals don't add up and could be confusing for a customer.
I DO have a case open with support, and I am getting periodic feedback from them. Today we tested what would happen if I selected 'no' to have the modifier prices not add into the item total. The outcome was that the modifiers WERE added to the base price AND were listed separately. 😔 So still confusing, but maybe it shows that there is an issue with Toast Local...
The support person I am working with says he has not seen this happen for any other Toast users, which is why I am here. Anyone else have this issue? I can't imagine I'm the only one... Let me know. And thanks!
