86 item

I'm interested if anyone knows if it's possible to link items to be able to out of stock a product that is used in multiple menu items?

Is it possible to have let's say an item tag and 86 anything attached to a particular item tag? And is it possible for modifiers to be a qualifier in that item tag?

Example: I have sliced beef brisket on the menu and it is rotated through the smoker throughout the day. Sometimes we may have a 30 min wait for it to come off the smoker or run out for the day. I have junior, regular, jumbo sandwiches, multiple plate dinners (of which beef is in a modifier group), as well as 1/4lb, 1/2lb, 1lbs of brisket, salads with brisket, family packs with brisket in modifier groups, etc. So if we are out of brisket for 30 min or the rest of the night, there are about 20 places I have to "out of stock" it and then restock it later.

Anyone have any tips or tricks?

Create a new "required" modifier group and a modifier item call beef brisket. Add the the modifier group to all items that uses beef brisket.

When you mark the modifier item "Beef brisket" out-of-stock, servers are still able to click items that has beef brisket. But they won't be able to complete them because the required modifier is out-of-stock.
