Currently the only was to track promo codes is to duplicate discounts. We use Promo codes to track marketing efforts to see which medium is better for certain promo's. Toast reccomends that we copy each discount and rename to match the promo code however if we do this we would have 100's of discounts and our system will become very hard to manage.
It would be easier to add a coloum to the discounts report that shows the discount name and the promo code name.
