Any idea how to eliminate the 0.00 open checks?

Hi
Sometimes when you open a check, but exit without adding anything, it doesn't show as an open check, but ToastNow reflects this as an open check. Its odd, I try to judge if the restaurant is busy based on the number of open checks, but often i get tricked. But at the POS itself, these don't show up.
Anyone run into this? Or is there a way to remove them from the ToastNow report?

I haven't encountered your specific situation, but we do have open $0 checks when our hosts seat tables in Toast Tables and the servers don't wait for the seated table to push through to the POS and open another table for the seated table. (sorry for the long run-on sentence!)
If you click into the open checks are they just blank? Could they be checks used for table and/or item transfer functions?

On the POS, these checks never show up as open checks. But i was able to do this manually, just open a check for a quick order, add an item, then exit that discarding changes. Those have a $0.00 balance and only show on the ToastNow app.

It just shows on the now app for some reason, more like an unused check than open, usually happens when someone starts a check adds an item and removes it, if you have removed items reporting on you will probably find that they correspond with the checks showed as open.

True, just a minor annoyance. If there is a filter to eliminate zero-dollar checks in open checks, I would get what I'm looking for. Minor feature request 🙂
