Any Power Users that have MULTIPLE KDS BAR WELLS (example upstairs bar/downstairs bar)

We are long term Toast users/fans and are expanding our flagship location.  In this expansion, we will have a second bar.

I am looking for what others are doing?   I wish it was possible to route kds prep stations by either (a) the terminal or (b) jobcode that the user was working from.  But Toast tells me that is not possible.

The only work around I can think of is duplicating our entire menu, and creating duplicate items (w slightly different names) that the server could then choose menu group (Main Bar) vs menu group (2nd Bar)

Any suggestions out there?

Thank you!

 Matt

@MQP Hey! I have 2 bars in my location, two service wells as well. Routing is key! As stated below - you will be two service/prep stations. Mine are "Tap Room Service & Gastro Service". All bar items route to each well. We use handhelds - each rooms handheld is programmed to only print at it's perspective bar. Gastro table tickets don't send to the tap room, Tap Room tickets don't send to Gastro, etc. It's really fun and totally eliminated the need for a "hidden menu". If you need more information please message me! I LOVE to talk about routing!

I would love to dig into this with you if at all possible.  Our issue is we have Draft Beer and Wine that only comes from the downstairs bar.  I have a "Item Routing" rule in place that if the "Service Area" is "Roof Deck" then all drink tickets routed to "Lounge Service Bar" are routed to "Roof Deck Service Bar".  For some reason, I cannot get the "Draft Beer" and "Wine" subheading menu items to print ALWAYS at the "Lounge Service Bar" and NEVER at the "Roof Deck Service Bar".  I've deducted, with the help of AI, that the "Item Routing" rule must override any "Prep Station" routing at the menu level.  Let me know if you have any thoughts please.
