Currently, we have a "refill" button configured to send drink refill requests to the drinks printer.  While the refill prints to the drink station if drinks are entered individually,  it does not if a server inputs, say, 5 cokes initially and then breaks them out individually when one person requests a refill.  Does anyone have an suggestion to remedy this?

Currently it is a modifier of the drink item.  I am resigned to the fact that I may have to have it as a separate menu item.  I was hoping to avoid that...not sure why.  🤔

Ok, so it's a modifier that can applied multiple times and they are just editing the already sent item and a change ticket is being printed at the drink station? I am not sure why the splitting multiple back into one is stopping it from printing though, I can't say I have every used a modifier like this, would have to do some tests myself.

Hi @Catbalu!

While I don't have an answer to your question pr say, I can share what we do with our refill beverages. We have a designated Beverage group for refillable beverages, where the beverage is an actual menu item, but that is because we are doing lot of work with inventory and theoretical numbers at the moment. 

The other aspect for us is that for sodas or iced teas, we bring out the refills in small carafes, not in a glass. The server has the option to ring in the refill carafe once the guest is close to finishing their glass of soda, or we did create a modifier called "Refill Carafe with drink" that can be rung in with the soda. Our servers are only responsible for ringing in the drinks, and we have a team of what we call drink makers/runners producing and running the drinks out. For us it's important to give the servers every button they need to be able to communicate clearly without having to go into the kitchen. We also really enforce using seat numbers, so we try to avoid ringing in a soda per say by QTY.
