We have been with TOAST for fifteen years (15) months, and it has been a nightmare. Whenever we request an update to our menu to update prices, menu additions, change a category, they screwed up our menu or the agent put us on hold or disconnect the call. Wish we never partnered with TOAST.
Has anyone had the same experiences?

I’m so sorry to hear about your frustrations, completely understand how overwhelming it can be! I oversee menu build at our restaurant, which involves a lot of complexity, tiered pricing, different DoorDash pricing, and varying menus by states. Once I learned the ins and outs of menu building and had full control over all our menus, I haven’t needed to reach out to Toast support for menu updates. One thing that’s helped tremendously is limiting menu build permissions in Toast; only a handful of people at our corporate office have access. That’s made a big difference in keeping things consistent and error free. Also, Toast has some really helpful articles and video tutorials on menu building, definitely worth checking out! 🙂

Out of curiosity—are you currently set up to make menu changes yourself, or is there something blocking you from doing so? Many locations manage their own menus through toasttab.com so I’d love to understand your setup better and see if we can get you more control or better support!
