one ticket per item at one print station only

Is there a way to have *one* prep station printer print one item per ticket, without forcing the rest of the prep stations to do the same?

We would use this with pizza prep, so that the individual pizza prep ticket would follow that pizza through the prep station areas.  We are getting feedback from our staff that when there are multiple pizzas on one ticket, it can be easy to get 'lost'.

It doesn't seem to be an issue anywhere else in our kitchen, so we really only want it at that one station.

Thanks!

To have one prep station printer print one item per ticket without affecting the rest of the prep stations, you can create a specific configuration for that station. Here's how you can set it up:

1. In Toast Web, navigate to **Kitchen** > **Kitchen stations** > **Prep stations**.
2. Choose the prep station you want to configure (e.g., Pizza).
3. Adjust the settings to ensure that each item is printed on a separate ticket for that specific station.
4. Save and publish your changes.

Let me know if this works!

Thanks Rob.

I looked at this, but I can't see any settings to adjust how the tickets are printed, either at the prep station or printer level.

The only possible way I can think of to have only "one" prep station without changing the configuration for all printer is to use label printer and print out expediter/food runner tickets. Try to set the pizza printer as a label printer and set it up automatically print expediter/food runner tickets. I have never tested it before so I'm not sure if it's going to work.

@au79teahouse I did a quick test with a star printer, it did not like it. It made a couple small feeds and printed some nonsense, but it is a completely different brand too. I'll  try later with an epson, it was just the only one I had right now that wouldn't disrupt anything.
