Hello,
When using the new POS experience as a trial in our restaurant we had some issues with the order in which the POS shows items while entering an order. It is useful to our staff to be able to check that they rang everything in correctly and in the proper order before sending it to the kitchen. However, in the new POS experience, the items are sorted by seat number and therefore do not show listed in the same order that they were rung in, making it impossible for staff to know if the items were rang in in the proper order. Is there a setting that can be changed to reorder the items to be chronologically ordered the way they were rung in, rather than by seat number?
Thank you,
Julia

You should be able Disable the Order by Seat setting will turn off the feature for both Quick Order and Table Service. When disabled, seats will be assigned via a modifier group and will be displayed as a modifier under items in the check. Items in the check will not be grouped by seat and instead will be grouped by course if courses are set up.
Disabling Order by Seat is useful if you prefer to view items in the check grouped by course or prefer for your staff to be prompted to enter a seat number for every item. Navigate to Front of house > Order screen setup and toggle Order by seat off.
