Printer Problems

Having issues with our Uber Eats/Doordash orders printing... sometimes they print, sometimes they don't, sometimes they print three days later. Has anyone else had this issue?

We recently ordered a new tablet because our old one also will not seem to turn on/load. When the old tablet was working I tried restarting and reconnecting the printers. Sometimes they were not able to connect but I could not figure out why. Do the tablet's need to be connected to the printer in order for us to receive orders? My boss told me that we don't need the tablet because the order connect through Toast and print from there. Can someone confirm?

If your location has Toast's 3PD integration, you don't need the DoorDash or Uber Eats tablet to receive or print orders. Everything should come through your primary Toast terminal.

Has your location had the Toast 3PD integration for a while, or was it added recently? And did the ticket printing issue start only after that, or has the integration been in place and the problem is new?

It's hard to pinpoint the cause from the details so far. The 3PD setup itself is usually straightforward. One thing worth trying first is clearing the Toast app's cache and storage, then testing whether tickets print correctly
