Does anyone know if there is a way to run a report for menu item sales per day over the last year? This seems like basic info to have in a report so you can calculate par levels but I can't seem to find an easy way to this.

Hey! There is no PMIX that runs longer than a month with Toast, the monthly one does not sort down to the daily sales either. It is just bulk amounts for that time range. You can apply for the PMIX New Beta under Toast Test Kitchen. This lets you run a larger report.

Thanks for the answer but it seems absurd that this report cannot be run as it is the only easy way to create accurate par levels for each individual menu item. The data is there. At present, I have to create a spreadsheet. Then I run a daily product mix report for all previous days and then import that into a column for each day and item. This is extremely tedious and time consuming. I am sure everybody else on TOAST would love this report too.

Not exactly what you are looking for but the new product mix does at least let you filter by day of week, so you can run a report for say last month for just Tuesdays, then calculate an average from that. https://www.toasttab.com/customers/shop/product/product-mix-reporting
