Many days we do not have enough cash to pay the credit cards tips to our wait staff.  Out servers do not want the tips in their payroll checks.  What are other restaurants doing?

Put the cc tips in their paychecks. They'll get used to it very quickly.

Yep, put it on paychecks!   and I agree with @rodeak they do get used to it quickly.  We found that most servers appreciated the change after they got over their initial angst.  They could better manage their finances, some were able to buy cars, pursue home ownership, etc.. because they weren’t so quick to blow their ‘cash in pocket’

Put on checks.  It's almost all CC now. All serving jobs will be on checks soon. If you get push back tell them it's the industry standard now. Time to be a part of the regular tax paying society like a regular working adult.  Also, the fact that you take CC's people are more likely to tip more so they are making more anyways.
