Is there a way to assign every entrée as a guest count so that if you are using Quick Order you can still track your guest counts without the cashier having to enter in a guest count every time? The point of quick order is to be quick and not add extra steps to get the full use of the system. Other systems have had this capability. Can anyone help with this?

To get an accurate guest count, you can use the Guest Information report, which can be accessed by navigating to Reports > Weekly overview > Guest counts > Customers on orders.
Calculate Guest Count Data
Toast Tables Daily Guest Count

Thanks, everyone, for the feedback. Good news: we’re working on a Calculated Guest Count (Guest Count by Entrée) feature that will let you assign a guest-count value to entrées so Quick Order can calculate guest counts automatically (so cashiers don’t have to enter them each time).
Right now, the feature is in beta with a small set of customers, but we don’t have a launch timeline yet.

It would be way more accurate to count the number of entrees than to expect a server to accurately type in the amount of guests for every order. And as a restaurant that uses seat numbers as well as guest counts, why does increasing the number of seats not increase the number of guests? I understand that restaurants work in very different ways so I'm assuming there is a reason, but it would also help if these increased simultaneously since its a fair assumption that if you need to add an extra seat to an order than you are adding an extra guest.

There was a beta for this, but I can't find the signup page anymore, it may be closed.

It does appear it is closed at the moment, but I was able to confirm the beta!
