Is there a way to assign every entrée as a guest count so that if you are using Quick Order you can still track your guest counts without the cashier having to enter in a guest count every time? The point of quick order is to be quick and not add extra steps to get the full use of the system. Other systems have had this capability. Can anyone help with this?

To get an accurate guest count, you can use the Guest Information report, which can be accessed by navigating to Reports > Weekly overview > Guest counts > Customers on orders.
Calculate Guest Count Data
Toast Tables Daily Guest Count
--EDIT--
Thanks, everyone, for the feedback. Good news: we’re working on a Calculated Guest Count (Guest Count by Entrée) feature that will let you assign a guest-count value to entrées so Quick Order can calculate guest counts automatically (so cashiers don’t have to enter them each time).
Right now, the feature is in beta with a small set of customers, but we don’t have a launch timeline yet.

To ensure I understand, do you want an option where the guest count increases every time an entree is ordered?
I can relay this feedback to my team, but if you would like an official feature request made, you would need to contact support. Our product team does view these threads, but you can also post this feature request in "Submit Your Feature Request Here." Our product team reviews this thread more than others. There is no guarantee that these features will be implemented.

Hi Rob - still looking for feedback here...
I would also settle for a feature that would "force show" or "require" a guest count be entered prior to sending to kitchen.

It's planned that we might have this out around this year, but no strong dates are set yet!

We really need better guest count functionality for quick order. I can't emphasize enough how much this would help us - and likely many other partners using Toast. Using our restaurant as an example, many patrons order 4-5 share plates as opposed to mains, skewing any guest count data we could manually pull from our p-mix.
Hoping for a solution in 2025!
