Getting Loyalty Points when using cash

I have had several customers ask if they still get their points when using cash.  I have looked and I have no clue.  Does anyone know?  We do type in their phone number, but it doesn't tell us if the points were added or not.

Yes, if they are entering a rewards phone number after a cash payment you can rest assured they are earning points in that transaction. To redeem loyalty rewards on a cash transaction, or to check on loyalty balance before cashing out, they need to let you know ahead of time. Before you enter the cash payment, you would tap “Rewards” at the bottom of the payment screen. If they don’t have their QR code to Scan, tap “Lookup” to perform a rewards lookup, where you can enter their phone number. Once the account is found, link it to that transaction and you will see their balance and the ability to redeem any rewards they have available. Then you can cash out.
