Auto-Clock outs are a problem

Hello,   we sometimes have a decent number of employees who forget to clock-out and therefore are auto-clocked out at 5am by the system.  This is easy to see in the labor reports,   however,   a manager must manually check every day and action this.   Is there a way to get a notification if someone is auto-clocked out?

How do you normally deal with people not clocking out?

We've had instances where we run payroll and forget to check the auto-clocks and people get paid for extra hours.

First, informing them about the issue verbally. If it has become a pattern, write them up.

It would be a good idea there is someone to audit the time entry before sending it off for many reasons... time theft, improper break times, etc

@LookoutTavernAZ  Have you used the "close out day report"? I train my managers to check this every night prior to leaving. If a cash drawer is open still, people are clocked in, or there are open checks, they will appear here. It's the last thing I do before I leave the building at night to ensure that my day is properly closed and there are no auto-clock outs.

I am attaching a Toast Article with more information for you below!

I agree with this. Being  the last person out the door makes it easy to do the forced clock outs at the end of your night.
