Door Dash - Remake Order

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if anyone knows how orders that appear as remakes on the DoorDash tablet flow into Toast.

Over the past couple of years, I’ve transitioned out of an operations role and rarely look at orders on the tablets anymore. Today, I was made aware that when an order appears on the DD tablet as a remake, it doesn’t print a new ticket in the kitchen or appear on the KDS.

Does anyone know if there’s a workaround for this, or is this something we have to manually manage? I’d appreciate any insight into how the remake order flows between DoorDash and Toast and how others are handling it.

Thank you!

We haven’t seen any DoorDash orders marked as “remake” so far. In our experience, when a DoorDash order needs to be remade, DoorDash Dispatch typically sends a new order to the DoorDash tablet, which generates a new ticket for us.

The “remake order” feature may be relatively new, and it might require further work from both DoorDash and Toast to achieve smoother integration. Have you confirm with Toast about it?

You may be correct in that it's a newer feature. I had also not seen it before. I opened a case with Toast, but the agent said we would manually have to create a new order and discount it, which seemed odd. I have a call scheduled with DoorDash next week, hopefully I can get some answers.
