We have three Epson TM-L90 label printers for kitchen tickets. All printers have 58mm spacer and labels loaded. All printers have the same settings in printer settings and toast back-end.
However, the print in three different formats.
Food printer prints correctly but there is a large header. This printer also does not have the latest firmware installed so I believe that would be my first step?
Hot Bar printer prints tiny tickets with hardly no header and line items are much closer together.
Cold Bar printer prints as if it's 40mm labels. The config sheet also shows 40mm - so for some reason, the printer doesn't recognize that it's 58mm size labels.
Ideally, all our tickets would be formatted like the food printer tickets with less header and the line items slightly closer together.
I believe these are all memory settings. However, when I follow the steps to access the memory settings, the printer does not print a menu code sheet nor recognize that I'm pressing the button to change settings.
Any insight would be very much appreciated!

Thank you for reaching out to the community! Do you also have a ticket with customer care to resolve this issue?

Yes. It is ticket 12745326 that is marked as resolved. They said Toast does not support the spacers for 58mm. I ran out of time when trying trying to figure out how to get to the memory settings but I had already spent hours with reps so I decided to try reach out here.

Hi!
We use the same printer for takeout item label printing and each of our locations has 1 of these printers. I have yet to experience this issue, but do all three of your Epson L90's have the same printer configuration? We had to play around with the configuration to get it perfectly to what we were looking for. Again ours is set to print item labels and not kitchen tickets so the configuration might be slightly different.

I have a TM-L90 and have not experienced the issues you mentioned. I found a PDF on Epson's website that shows how to access printer's memory switch. Here is the link: https://files.support.epson.com/pdf/pos/bulk/tm-l90_6--_trg_en_reva.pdf
Please see page 52. Check the correct roll switch is selected under Mode 13 "Other settings"
