Using text/copy on the Online Ordering pages to protest the new Mandatory $.99 Fee!

I am going to use the messaging areas of the online ordering pages (which I now use for messages like "busy times may equal longer prep time" etc.) to protest the new mandatory online fee.  Something like 'Toast has gone FULL EVIL EMPIRE - Please email the CEO of Toast (e.g. chris@toast.com) and tell him you object to the money-grabbing $.99 online ordering fee!'

From my little shop alone, Toast stands to rake in an extra 8K/year.  8K!  This is an incredible grab.  Shame.

I put a warning on my page as well. I will also be turning off online ordering on June 20th when the fee goes into effect for me and canceling the online ordering platform.

Doordash StoreFront is a very good alternative for online ordering. No commission for both delivery and pickup orders. Doordash only charges card processing fee and you don't need to worry about potential chargebacks.

what about fees to the customer?

No fee for customer self-pick up. White label online ordering.
